A telescoping shimmer twill covered tiller extension with a smooth locking mechanism.  The user can lock the length of the tiller extension with a slight twist in either direction.

 

The outer tube of this tiller extension has a 2 by 2 carbon fiber twill finish with your choice of a shimmering red or gold accent.  The inner tube is 100% unidirectional pre-preg carbon fiber with a spiral finish.

 

This unit can extend from 52 inches to 100 inches, not including the length of the attachment end you may so choose.

    Bare Tube - A rubber tendon will fit directly into our tiller extensions but is NOT INCLUDED in your purchase.

    Plastic End for common 1/4 inch pin and yoke. - This plastic end accomodates the common 1/4 inch pin and yoke that comes stock on many boats.  The matching stainless steel yoke, which MUST BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY from our "Tiller Extensions and Accessories" page, consists of a stainless steel bolt with the common 1/4 inch pin yoke welded to the bolt to reduce slop, 2 plastic washers, and a locknut.

     

    IMPORTANT NOTE: On some common older boats, the height of the hole in the steel yoke was less than it is on common stock yokes today.  The Plastic End for 1/4 inch pin we sell accommodates for the newer stock design of these yokes.

     

    IF YOU HAVE AN OLDER MODEL OF THE COMMON 1/4 INCH PIN YOKE OR YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE AT ALL,  YOU CAN SELECT ABOVE TO HAVE THE "PLASTIC END FOR 1/4 INCH PIN" GLUED INTO THE END OF YOUR TILLER EXTENSION AND YOU CAN PURCHASE THE STAINLESS STEEL PORTION OF THE ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLY FROM OUR "TILLER EXTENSIONS AND ACCESSORIES" PAGE.

  • Handle Descriptions

    X - Patterned Rubber Grip - This grip is placed on the end of the outer carbon fiber tube.  It is 10 inches long and the end of the rubber is flush with the end of the outer carbon fiber tube.
